CY Fishing Charters operate inclusively out of Albany Island, which is right smack bang in the middle of some of Australia’s most fishable waters.
To the east of the island is the widest point of the Great Barrier Reef. To the south, we have incredible coastal reefs to fish, as well as the Escape River and Jackie Jackie Creek estuaries with some incredible flats fishing.
To the north of the island, we fish to the tip of Australia, and around the false West Coast all the way until we get to the actual West Coast of the Cape York Peninsula.
The famous Business saying ‘the harder I work the luckier I get’, applies to Sportsfishing as well. Sportsfishing up at Albany is definitely a participation activity. Yes we will stop and have lunch and yes we will look at the pretty turtles… but we are hunting fish and we need to working hard. The number of times a fish of a lifetime has been caught on the last cast of the day means you have to always be prepared to make that last cast.
Please contact us for more information on our sports fishing packages.
As a fishing charter business we fish around the tides. If the fishing is better in the morning then we are on the water early. If the fishing is better in the afternoon then we start later in the day.
We have the Coral Sea as our fishing back yard.
PNG is 600km closer to Albany Island than Cairns. We are the very last Island on the east coast of Australia. You can not go any further north than us… so come sportsfishing with CY Fishing Charters.
